Not every bad tree looks obvious. Some look “fine” — until they’re not. And by then, it’s usually after damage is already done. Here are 5 signs you shouldn’t ignore.
1. The tree is leaning more than it used to
A slight lean is normal. A growing lean? That’s a warning sign.
2. Cracks in the trunk
Visible splits or deep cracks weaken the structure of the tree.
3. Dead or falling branches
If branches are dropping regularly, the tree may already be declining.
4. Hollow or rotting areas
Soft spots or hollow sections mean the tree is losing strength.
5. It’s too close to your home or wires
Even a healthy tree can become a problem if it’s in the wrong place.
If you’re unsure about your tree, how it looks or the longevity of its health- do not wait until it becomes a bigger issue.
We’ll take a look and tell you straight, whether it needs trimming, removal, or nothing at all.
